Beyonce Knowles's Kevo

Beyonce Knowles, full name Beyonce Giselle Knowles, is a singer, dancer, actress, and fashion designer. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Knowles was an avid singer and dancer as a child. She received her break through the female R&B quartet Destiny's Child. After three successful albums and several Grammy awards, Destiny's Child disbanded and Knowles embarked on a solo career.

In 2003, Knowles struck out on her solo career with the album Dangerously in Love. The album was a huge success both commercially and critically, garnishing Knowles five Grammy awards including Best Femal R&B Vocal Performance and Best Contemporary R&B Album. Knowles also holds multiple Grammy awards from performances with Destiny's Child, Luther Vandross, and Stevie Wonder. Her second solo album, entitled B'Day, is expected for release September 2006.

Knowles also has worked in several films that have increased her popularity. In 2001, she starred in the MTV television musical "Carmen: A Hip Hopera." The following summer, she complemented comedian Mike Myers in the highest-grossing box office film comedy, Austin Powers in Goldmember. Knowles continues to pursue a career in acting with the release of her next film, Dreamgirls slated for theatrical release in December 2006.

Along with being a Grammy award-winning vocalist and popular actress, Knowles is a successful fashion designer. Her clothing line, House of Dereon, is sold in major boutique retailers across North America. Working with her mother, Tina Knowles, the pair not only design clothing for the House of Dereon line, but also for Knowles' perfomances.
