John Felix Anthony Cena, Jr. (born April 23, 1977) is an American professional wrestler, hip hop musician and actor. He is signed to World Wrestling Entertainment and wrestling on the RAW brand where he is the reigning WWE Champion and one-half of the World Tag Team Champions with Shawn Michaels.

Career

Early career

Cena first started training to become a wrestler in 2000 at the California-based Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW) where he created the character The Prototype. This period of his career was documented in the Discovery Channel program Wrestling School. After UPW, he was signed to a World Wresting Federation developmental contract and assigned to "farm territory" Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW).
