Native Angeleno Jenna Elfman began her acting career with commercials, landing roles in dozens of national television ads for a variety of well-known companies. Trained in classical dance from the age of five, her first passion was to become a ballerina, not an actress. Elfman considered joining Seattle's Pacific Northwest Ballet, but opted not to due the physical strain classical form demands.

After a dancing gig for the 1991 Academy Awards, Elfman's career launched as a dancer for television and film productions and eventually she adapted an interest in acting. She enrolled at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, where she studied under noted drama coach Milton Katselas. Commercial work and dancing for music videos helped her get by, but it wasn't enough.

Shortly thereafter, Elfman secured the services of an agent and was able to secure acting jobs for a diverse array of shows on such series as The Monroes, Roseanne, NYPD Blue and M...
