Biography
Kenneth Jeffrey Feld was born in 1948 in Washington, DC. His father, Irvin Feld, bought the Ringling Brothers circus in 1967 for $8 million. He sold it to Mattel Inc. in 1971 for $50 million and in 1982, Feld and his father bought it back for about $23 million. Irvin has been called the "Greatest Showman on Earth" for his contributions to circus culture. He died in 1984 and Feld inherited the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
Feld received his education from Boston University and completed a degree in Business Administration in 1970. Soon after he was working with his dad. Even after the sale to Mattel, Feld and his father stayed on and Feld was promoted to co-producer in 1973. In 1984, Feld inherited the positions of president and CEO, positions he retains today.
