FILM SUMMARY

Transformation: The
Life & Legacy of Werner Erhard

Almost forgotten culture icon and founder of the controversial est
seminar pulls back the curtain on his life, his ideas and why he left the
country.

The documentary, "Transformation:
The Life & Legacy of Werner Erhard
" had its world premiere at the Palm
Beach International Film Festival in April 2006.

Werner Erhard,
pioneer of the multi-billion dollar personal growth industry, breaks a long
silence about his ideas, his life and the controversial program est
that made him a cultural icon of the 1970's and 80's.

With exclusive
and rare footage, you'll step

inside est seminars, and hear provocative interviews with peers,
naysayers, family members, participants and experts. Viewers will be
surprised, even shocked, at how Erhard’s course and ideas, thought of by
some as strictly a phenomenon of the 70s & 80's, have permeated the very
fabric of society today.

Two-time Emmy
winner Robyn Symon offer viewers a rare insider view into the life and ideas
of Werner Erhard. Now 70 years old, Erhard speaks candidly about the early
days of est, the media adulation and attacks, and the ideas themselves that
underpin his work.

The documentary
doesn't shy away from the hard questions about his controversial program,
his past, his enemies, nor the "60 Minutes" expose that prompted him to
leave the US in 1991.

Was he a man on a
mission to make a difference, or just a man out to make millions? The film
debates whether it's possible to separate the message from the messenger, and
takes a glaring look at how the media targets public figures - leaving us with
the notion that despite what you might think of him personally, this now almost
forgotten cultural leader has left a lasting social legacy of personal
transformation.

Great movie and truly inspiring. Werner deserves the Nobel Prize for what he's done. ~JV

I took The Forum in the 80's and also several seminars and loved it all. The transformation possibilities were endless. I am now reading Eckhart Tolle's "A New Earth" and see many similarities in the two. Werner Erhard offered a space to become enlightened and open the possibilites of life. I never heard him claim to be perfect or flawless. In fact, his life may have offered the trials and decisions that face us all in making our way through life.

I took the EST training in the 1970s AND it was the best gift I ever gave myself. My mother and sister took it in the 1970s as well. My nieces have taken The Landmark Education. Est works in my life daily and I have been able to share with others and it has transformed them as well. It guided you to see life and issues clearly. I still use the Monopoly Board example when I talk to people. I thank Werner, so often and my family is grateful for the experience we had in EST. It transformed our lives!
